Changed. Identity.

During this season of Lent we are reflecting on the sacrifice Jesus made for us, and how it changes us. Our identity is changed when we open our hearts to Jesus and His Holy Spirit comes and dwells within us, revealing to us that we are children of our Father God. What does it mean to be children of God? How can we live our lives from such an amazing reality as this? The Most High God, is our Father. We have an inheritance, an everlasting one. We are changed by His Spirit working within us, giving us confidence in our identity as children of God. We will see ourselves as He sees us when we focus on this truth and not on our weakness. Even when we suffer, we will see His glory. This is who we are. We belong to Abba Father, and because of this we can shine as brightly as stars in the night sky.
