Bringing Grief into Conversation with Jesus.

Bringing Grief into Conversation with Jesus.

Grief has been a friend to many this season. The reality of the sense of normal being stripped away, loss of jobs. Even society as a whole has had to deal with grief as we lost things we collectively celebrated.

sadly, people have lost loved ones. Some to COVID-19, others to suicide as depression increased and other reasons. And some people we all looked up to as a society too.

To keep our hearts alive in this season and for the long run, we must bring this very painful reality into conversation with Jesus. It matters to him. Even though this season will not last forever, whilst we are here Jesus invites us to bring it into conversation with him.

We look at the story of Jesus who went to comfort two of his friends who had lost their brother. Even though Jesus raised him from the dead, he still invited the two sisters to conversation with him about their grief and even their sense of disappointment with him for not showing up when they called. It moved him so much even to tears.

Can you be bold enough to bring the reality of your life, grief if there be any, into conversation with Jesus?
